Hi guys, my name is Chris, I’m a 16 years old hypnotist.
In this lesson I will cover some major guidelines that you can follow to increase your success rate with instant inductions.
But before we begin, you should know that confidence is the most important thing when doing an instant induction, because if you’re not confident enough that it will work, then the subject is most likely feel that way too.
Here are some points that you should consider when doing an instant induction:
- You can, in the pretalk, use revivification questions to make the subject go into a light trance covertly, then just say that when you say the word “sleep” he will allow his eyes to close, his body to relax and to go into a deep trance.
-As you’re doing the pretalk demonstrate to him the power of the mind by doing some suggestibility tests and compliance tests (to check for suggestibilty and responsiveness) and then you get that magic moment where you have the placebo effect on your side with the power of compounding effect (where the suggestions start to add up to create powerful phenomena).
- When you do the induction and say “sleep”, just begin the deepener in a way that the subject cannot keep up with you so he gets overloaded and the conscious mind has no time to analyse and prevent you from getting results.
- immediately as you start to deepen the trance take their head and start tilting it or moving it from side to side or in a circle to check for relaxation in the neck and to create disorientation. (NOTE: never do this with someone who has neck or back problems, and don’t forget to ask about those problems before you begin and take necessary precautions if they exist)
- Do not care what they do when you say “sleep” and continue the whole induction, as nothing happened. If the subject opens his eyes and look at you, just tell him to close those eyes, and continue as if nothing happened, and be confident so everything will go very well. Whatever happens, use it to your advantage and outcome. For example, if he starts laughing, no matter why or how, tell him that laughing is an unconscious response, and it means that he is going deeper with each breath, then tell him to close his eyes and continue deepening. It’s as simple as that.
It wasn’t until lately that I became successful with instant inductions because I was confident enough to use them. But when I compared the way I used to do them and fail, and the way I do them with success now, I realize that I wasn’t following most of the guidelines described above.
If you’re a beginner, it’s better if you do some longer inductions like the hand magnets as an induction, it will work better for you and help you build your confidence. And you can first practice it in a context where success or failure doesn’t matter so you can get used to the mechanics of it.
N.B: Master hypnotist Igor Ledochowski released a free video guide on instant inductions. It’s divided in 10 parts.
