Hypnosis is like a painting you have to create
Now what do I mean by saying “Hypnosis is like a painting you have to create” well, imagine your subject mind like a blank piece of canvas, you have to fill that blank canvas with what you want them to see hypnosis as, do you want them to see it as a lightly relaxed state? a deeply relaxed state? and state where you feel nothing at all but your suggestions still take effect? or even a completely knocked out state where they have no idea about anything happening? (its possible)
Well, you may ask when do I do that? its quite simple, in the pretalk, it can be as simple as during your pretalk saying “Hypnosis is a deeply relaxed state” (which is what I frame it as) but you can also say “a state where you are 100% aware and you don’t feel anything until I give you suggestions” or anyway you wish!
So now they have a expectation of what hypnosis is going to be like, now you have to be 100% confident that their experience of hypnosis will be just like you told them.
Now see if you can frame hypnosis as a different state than you normally frame it as, paint that painting differently than normal, see what works best for you.
So that concludes my lesson, ask any questions you have on the forum, I will answer your questions ASAP
